My Skeen ancestors

01. Andrew Skene was born in 1627 in Aberdeen, Skotland and died in 1674 in Aberdeen, Scotland.  He married Christian (1614-1673) in 1648.  Christian was a cousin of Andrew.

02. Andrew Skene, the Younger of Pitmuxton was born in 1648 in Veere, Zeeland, Netherlands and died in 1696 in Aberdeen, Scotland. He married Margaret Simson (1650-1715).

03. John Skene "Mariner" son of Andrew and Margaret was born on Dec 15, 1673 in Bromhill, Aberdeen, Scotland and died in 1701, probably at sea.  He married Marjory Black (1677-1735).

04. Matthew Skene son of John and Marjory was born on Aug 8, 1701 in Newtyle, Aberdeen, Scotland and died on Feb 15, 1748 in Augusta, VA.  He married Jannetje "Jane" Titus (1712-1748) abt. 1730 in Staten Island, New York Colony.

05. Matthew Skeen son of Matthew and Jane was born Abt. 1737 in Augusta, VA and died in 1814 in Rowan Co., NC.  He married Rutha Lamar (c1747-1816), the daughter of James Lamar and Verlinda Osbourne.
