Beersheba, Tuscarawas Co., OH but soon settled in Wayne Co., OH. In
1836, Lorenzo moved with other LDS converts to Caldwell Co., MO but after
the Hawn's Mill massacre and the Mormon turmoil, he and other family members
evidently left the church and moved to Iowa. He obtained land in

James Warner,
son of Lorenzo and Charity was born on Dec 17, 1828 in Wooster, OH and died
on Aug 10, 1913 in Monroe, IA.
"The Warner Family came to Ohio from New York then migrated to Iowa.
In 1850 James and his younger brother Joseph joined a wagon train, riding
horses, and went to California to dig for gold. After 10 years of
traveling up and down and across California and Oregon, they returned to
their homes in Iowa.
Neither married until they came back home."

"In 1960 Effie Reeser who was a daughter of James Warner and granddaughter of Lorenzo and Charity wrote of how her mother met her father James at a corn husking bee. A handsome six feet tall young man came through the door--someone she had never seen before. On asking someone who he was, she was told he was Charity Warner's son. She said everyone knew if he was Charity Warner's son he would have to be all right as Charity and Lorenzo Warner were highly respectable people. This meeting of James and Lucinda occurred very soon after James had returned home from ten years spent digging for gold."
